In the framework of the fourth session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (RP14), The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk reduction (UNISDR), together with GROOTS International, Huairou Commission and the Community Practitioner Platform (CPP), are carrying out a call for good practices and experiences on integrating gender in disaster risk reduction in relation to the empowerment of women and promotion of gender equitable recovery or risk and vulnerability reduction.

The fourth session of the Regional Platform for DRR will be held from Tuesday 27 May to Thursday 29 May 2014 at the Hilton Colón hotel in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Country delegations, subregional, regional, international, non-governmental or private organization delegations wishing to present a statement to the IV Session of the Regional Platform for disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas (RP14) are asked to submit their written statement to the regional office of UNISDR for the Americas no later than 16 May.

As in previous sessions, the PR14 will feature an exhibition space with 15 tables available to participating organizations, which operate between Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 May 2014 with the following schedule: Tuesday 27. 11:30 - 18:00 hrs.
