"Municipality of the month":

This space is dedicated to promote the work of the local governments participating in the Global Campaign "Making Cities Resilient: Mi City is Getting Ready". Every month, experiences on how local governments deal with risk management in the Americas will be presented.

This month we introduce the experience of Pasto, Colombia

 

 

For the municipality of Pasto, Colombia, the participation in the Campaign is an opportunity to strengthen their work in risk reduction and exchange experiences with national and international actors. In the words of the mayor of Pasto, Mr. Harold Guerrero López, the municipality aims at "promoting disaster risk management in the Pasto's community, advancing the community's knowledge and reduction of risk, enabling the process of building a resilient municipality, communities better prepared and less vulnerable to disasters".
