An earthquake consists of the vibration of the tectonic plates caused by the sudden liberation of energy that starts the movements of rearrangement in the tectonic plates of the terrestrial globe. We all have the obligation to protect ourselves an others against this type of situation. Information about disasters is basic for the prevention and mitigation of the effects of these disasters. When a phenomenon of these characteristics occurs we must know how to act and what to do. Education plays an important role in the formation of the individual and in his preparation to confront such disasters.
